A System - Ergo Lever Handle

Description

"A" system is commonly referred to as the "German Slider" because it slides onto the valve face. It is used by breweries such as Hoegaarden, Paulaner, Spaten, and Warsteiner. Visit our beer system listing for an expanded listing of beers that use the "A" system valve.

The keg coupler connects to the keg valve, "tapping" the keg. Both the gas line from the CO2 tank/regulator and the beer hose to the beer faucet attach to the coupler.

Features

  • Slide on keg connection
  • 304 stainless steel probe. Excellent for beer, wine or cider
  • Easy to engage handle: push down to tap/pull up to untap
  • Short handle ideal for 1/6th barrel kegs and keg with a rubber chime
  • PRV (pressure relief valve)

Very well built. I was impressed. It fit my keg of slim barrel of Hoegaarden White perfectly. No problem what so ever.

Quality Tap

I purchased this tap several months ago and finally bought a keg of Paulaner which required it's use. My kegerator is a Sanyo BC-1206 and this tap is almost 1 1/2" taller than the "D" tap that came with the kegerator. It required some effort to tap the keg since the tap was so tall and the beer line was pressing against the top of the kegerator. Once I got the handle depressed, I had plenty of room for the beer line and the line was not kinked. You may want to tap your keg before placing the keg inside the kegerator. This is a high-quality tap and is solidly constructed.

Stupid Plastic Handle
By Joe from Philadelphia on Thursday, January 17, 2008

No doubt the coupler works great..unless you are using it for a sixtel keg. Was tapping my sixtel of Hoegaarden and thought I had purchased the wrong coupler cause it would lock. After a few minutes I realized the large plastic handle was hitting the rail on the keg. Got a screwdriver and hammer to pop it off..problem solved.

German slider for the win! Great coupler and I can't live without my Hoegaarden. Ergo handle is cool but unnecessary!
