Overall
Works great, just not intended for "balancing"
By Dana from Seattle, WA on Tuesday, October 16, 2012

Micromatic has great customer service. I bought this item with the intention of using it to balance my system (I didn't want to change the length of my beer lines every time I tap a different style beer).

Unfortunately this item is not intended to solve that issue. I was thinking it would add 'extra resistance" (be able to 'dial it in') but after installing and trying to balance my system with it...(then calling Cust Service) I found out this does not perform that function. The system needs to be balanced before entering this adapter.

So ...this device does what it says, it allows you to control the flow of your pour, but if you are looking to buy it to 'get rid of foam" then you might be disappointed. Google "balancing my kegerator" for steps to solve foam issues.

Last two things, the connection between this adapter and the tower is SOLID (as one would expect), but between the faucet and this adapter there is some "play". I confirmed it does not leak, but there is some play (customer service also confirmed there is play in the faucet connection). The picture shown on the website is a bit wrong, faucets are only male connections, so the coupling on the adapter connects to the faucet, meaning the "restricted" part of the adapter is closest to the tower. The graphic Micromatic would suggest otherwise.

cheers!
