REMOTE GLYCOL POWER PACK – 11,500 BTUs, 1-1/2HP Compressor, Four Pump & Motor
The walk-in cooler and power pack are usually located in one of the hottest areas - the kitchen. The higher ambient temperature in the kitchen area puts additional demand on the glycol chiller to work properly maintaining temperature. Utilizing a remote (split deck) power pack enables you to place the compressor in a cooler location, where it can get proper ventilation - either inside or outside the building. The glycol bath then is located near the walk-in cooler where the beer kegs are.
The refrigeration deck is a sealed refrigeration system that can be located anywhere, including outdoors. The 11.5 gallon glycol bath includes at least one Procon pump to circulate the cold glycol alongside the beer lines in the trunk housing. Depending on the model up to three additional Procon pump and motors are available.
INSTALLING THE POWER PACK
Prior to installing a remote/split deck glycol power pack, it is imperative to determine the method of connecting to the electrical service. Ensure that the electrical service to power these systems will handle the load requirements. See the product specifications or ID plate on the equipment for electrical load requirements. It is recommended that all electrical service be performed by a certified electrician.
WARRANTY
All power packs carry a full 18 month warranty against defects in material and workmanship and one year on labor from date of sale. Defective parts, subject to our inspection, will be replaced or repaired during the warranty period on a no charge basis. The compressor is warrantied for an additional three and one-half (3-1/2) years. All loss of sales must be borne by the purchaser.
Notes: Glycol Bath Ratio: 5 gallons of glycol to 7 gallons of distilled water ( 40% glycol to 60% distilled water ). It is recommended that distilled water be used because it does not contain impurities that will contaminate the glycol bath and the operation of the "thin-plate" technology.
