Will all faucets fit all shanks?
There is a dimensional difference between shanks and faucets manufactured for the U.S. market and those manufactured for markets outside the U.S.
Those for the U.S. are manufactured to U.S. beer industry-standard thread specifications, whereas those for outside the U.S. are manufactured to European metric thread specifications. Please be aware that if your dispensing equipment was manufactured outside the U.S., there is a good possibility U.S. faucets will not be compatible.
However, all shanks and faucets produced in the U.S., even if made by different manufacturers, are interchangeable as they have the U.S. beer industry standard threads.
