Unique shank, solved my 2 1/2" beer tower problem

I wanted to do a MacGyver add-on to my single tap Kenmore kegerator draft tower. I figured out a way to make a two inch extension to the top of the tower (with a little piece of hardware from the plumbing aisle at HomeDepot)-- then I just needed to find a shank/tap that would fit inside this tiny tower diameter. And this thing fit the bill perfectly. The finish and quality seem to be very good. I think I may replace the stock shank that came with the kegerator with one of these because the stock one is not an elbow and it is kind of a pain in the a&& to keep clean and/or change the hose, or adjust/tighten. At first I was a little concerned about the price-- but when you realize that it's a shank AND tail piece in one, it comes out just fine, perhaps less than what you would spend on the two pieces separately.

I ordered this because my old elbow shank started leaking at the compression fitting. The quality is very high for the price. It was much higher quality than the stock shank I replaced. The new design eliminates the compression fitting that caused a lot of problems for people. Now I only wish I ordered a shiny new faucet as well.
