G System - Keg Coupler - Tap w/ Ergo Lever Handle

"G" system gets its name from the English developer, Grundy. The valve face can be thought of as a circle with three sides cut off. It is used by breweries such as Bass, Boddingtion’s, Caffrey’s and Anchor Steam (50 liter kegs). Visit our beer system listing for an expanded listing of beers that use the "G" system valve.

Do all brands of beers use the same keg tapping equipment?

The keg coupler connects to the keg valve, "tapping" the keg. Both the gas line from the CO2 tank / regulator and the beer hose to the beer faucet attach to the coupler.

Beer Keg Tap Features:
  • Coupler sits on top, twist 1/4 turn to connect
  • Stainless steel probe
  • Easy to engage handle: push down to tap/pull up to untap

The day when all breweries can agree on a single keg tap will be a wonderful day, and I will parade around the street in front of my restaurant and sing happy tunes.

Until then, you have to buy one of these if you want decent beer on tap. It's a good piece of machinery, btw. never had a problem with it.
