Beer Systems - Air Cooled
DOUBLE AIR SHAFT SYSTEM - Tube Side By Side
(Dispensing Up To 25 Feet)
Cold air from the walk-in cooler box is forced along side beer hoses to keep
them cold as they travel to the dispense tower. Two shafts are used: one for the
product and outgoing air, and one for the return (warm) air. Together they form
a continuous air loop. This system tries only to maintain the air temperature
from the walk-in. Beer is not additionally cooled in the air shaft.

SINGLE AIR SHAFT SYSTEM - Tube Within
Tube
(Dispensing Up To 25 Feet)
Cold air from the walk-in cooler box is forced along side the beer hoses to
keep them cold as they travel to the dispense tower. A "shaft within a shaft" is
created: one for the product and outgoing cold air, one for the return (warm)
air. Together they foam a continuous loop.
A walk-in that is used for food storage and continuously opened is not good for
either of these applications due to fluctuations in the walk-in air temperature. The air
cooled system cannot be more than 25 feet overall from walk-in to the dispense
tower. Blower: Size of the blower is determined by the distance from walk-in to
dispense tower, and the number of bends in the shaft.
