  • Check valve x sanke keg pressure measuring

Hi, I just kegged an ale and am force carbonating for the first time in a sanke keg (S system). After around 10 days I want to make sure it is properly carbed, or maybe find a way to accurately measure that. I have seen people shut off the main CO2 and let the low CO2 pressure regulator show how much pressure is in the keg. But then, if the check valve's (in the coupler) main purpose is to prevent CO2 coming out of the gas line, can that really be accurate? Should I take the check valve out? Thanks in advance.
