  • Intermittent Loss of pressure / Loss of Beer Flow

I have a new Edgestar. Installed 1st 1/4 keg of Budlight everything worked great no foam not one issue. Installed 2nd 1/4 keg worked fine then suddenly no beer coming from tap. I thought maybe ran out of CO2. Checked bottle still plenty. Retapped keg slow trickle of beer. Increased co2 pressure pulled handle to open spout but held finger over the spout opening. That created back pressure and beer began to flow normally. Fixed problem? Wrong after drinking a few beers problem began again. I checked pressure at tap on pressure release valve and plenty of pressure there but no flow from keg to spout. It almost seems like there is something hanging up at the keg not allowing beer to flow but can figure it out. Any ideas of what maybe causing this. Thanks

Likely either a frozen keg (common with lighter beers), or your coupler/tapping device has malfunctioned.

    1. Check cooler temps. Lighter beer will start to freeze at the keg around 32 degrees.

    2. Replace the coupler.
