  • CO2 help

Hey. Setting up a home leg system. When I went to hook up my co2 tank to the hose I noticed my coupler had a nipple on the end of it that doesn’t fit my line. If I unscrew it off it will connect. Is this what I’m supposed to do? Will it effect quality or safety?

Not exactly sure what you are trying to describe, but CO2 goes into the side of the coupler. I believe you are describing what is called a tail piece, and to use that you would take the nut and tailpiece off the coupler. Insert the duck bill washer (gas check valve) into the hole, then slide the nut on the gas line (it is loose and will float around), then warm the gas line in warm water and press / work it onto the tail piece. Put the tailpiece up against the coupler (the check valve makes the seal), then tighten the nut.
What I have: Haier two tap, 525 faucets, tower cooler, 10' lines
