Frozen Sankey - suggestions to unfreeze without using sledgehammer

Hoping to solicit the group mind for good ideas. I have a D Sankey that seems to be stuck. The handle will not engage so it is completely useless right now.

Anyone have a suggstion as to how to unfreeze it? Soak in hot water? Line cleaner? PBX? Put it in a vise and go at it with a 10lb sledge (kidding)

Those things won't hurt it. To prevent it, and maybe help break it free you may want to try some probe lube.
