  • Serving in 10 degree temps with a Jockey box

Will be serving beer at an outdoor event this weekend. Temps about 10 degrees. Two 15 gallon kegs through a Jockey Box. Any tips on how to set up so beer/taps/lines don't freeze? Thanks, Jim

Thats a tough one, the keg will freeze I would think, obviously you dont need to ice the jockey box down but IDK, you could maybe put hand warmers in the box hahaha but not directly on the beer lines. never tried to set one up when its thats cold to be honest

Reviving an older thread to make a point about jockey boxes and sub-32* weather.

Simply take the kegs out of the cooler the night before the event. They will cool during the event without freezing and the warmer beer coupled with the insulating properties of the cooler keep the coils from freezing.
