  • Can the CO2 tank be in the ice?

Hello, I'm in the process of building a portable kegorator out of a Rubbermaid garbage can. I would like to keep it pretty stealth-looking so I'd like to have the CO2 tank inside the can along with the keg (slim quarter or sixtel). Would it be ok to have the tank in the ice/water? I can't imagine it would be good for the regulator to be in ice or water, I'm talking about most of the cylinder being in ice and/or water.

If anyone has any advice or experience with this it would be much appreciated.

There should be no problem putting the CO2 tank in the ice. I would try to keep the regulator out of the ice/water. It's not really meant to be submerged. I would worry about ruining it... since regulators aren't cheap.
