  • Replacing Pressure gauge

I purchased a new 30 PSI pressure gauge from Micromatic and want to replace my current gauge. I would think that it would just be a matter of unscrewing the old one and screwing on the new one. The old one is on tight, and want to know if I should use a wrench to loosen it?

Yeah their fiction fit threads. you need to apply force, once it snaps it should get easier. Some people want to put teflon tape on the new fitting but don't. Just bare threads. If you want to can test the seal by applying Co2 and dunk the connection in water but keep the dial above water level. With the coupler attached to the Down stream Co2 line and off the keg with the handle up, check for bubbles in the water. About the same amount of force it took to break it loose you reapply that to screw it tight. If you have a torch wrench you can match it. Sorry I don't remember the foot Lbs. Likelyhood of stripping the threads is small so get it tight, Lucktite on the threads is an option but not required.
