Just wanted to reply to this thread in case anyone else winds up here after googling "Cat proof kegerator taps". I ordered a few Straight Shutoff Valves because I didn't want to install bulky locks on the front of my kegerator (it's a bit of a display piece in my living room), and they install seamlessly to the back end of a shank. Easy on/off switch inside the kegerator lid.
