"A" coupler too tall

I recently purchased an "A" slider coupler and a 50L keg of Franziskaner. I have a Danby kegerator and the keg, coupler & beer line assembly is too tall and the beer line kinks at the top of the kegerator. The coupler I purchased is a draught technology...is the micromatic or any other brand any shorter? Does anyone have any ideas??
