  • A Gasket? Crap

So when I switched back to my American Sankey coupler, hooked everything back up and tapped a new keg, poured some beers and then I realized I had a gasket sitting on top of my kegerator. Crap.

I'm pretty positive it is the gasket from the beer line that connects to the coupler, but the line is full of beer. Is there any good way to disconnect it without getting beer everywhere?

I'm assuming: untap keg, put coupler in bucket and disconnect beer line? Do I need to turn off CO2 or anything?

You should just be able to uncouple. The check ball will keep the beer in the line (which is a very small amount) from making a mess, and the keg will take care of itself.
Malt is the soul of beer... and yeast gives it life..
but the kiss of the hop is the vitality of that life!

My three favorite beers: The one I just had, the one I'm drinking now and the next one I'll have.
