  • With what to fill the hole...

So, I am picking up my chest freezer tomorrow and am hoping to get some last minute advice. Here goes...my thought is to cut a hole in the top of the freezer chest, and run the 3 keg hoses out the top - 5ft of hose, to the shanks that sit about 2ft higher than the chest freezer onto a wall, that i would access from the other side to pour the beer. My question is...what should i use to fill in the hole on top of the freezer chest? Expandable spray foam? will that crush the hoses? Suggestion...Thanks!

You will not want to fill that hole. Instead you will want to run the three lines together in some sort of duct to the wall and preferaby cool the duct in some way.
Malt is the soul of beer... and yeast gives it life..
but the kiss of the hop is the vitality of that life!

My three favorite beers: The one I just had, the one I'm drinking now and the next one I'll have.

It should be added that, generally speaking, you must cool the beer line all the way to the faucet, and keep the faucet cold as well or you will experience foam problems with nearly every pour.
