  • Another newbie question

I just purchased a kenmore kegerator and I went through a 1/4 of Bud Light with no problems. Just bought another 1/4 of Bud Light...same settings as first one and the beer tastes flat as hell. Have the psi set at 12 and temp is 38. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Assuming that your line, faucet and coupler are clean, check a couple of things. Is it flat or does it taste flat? Look at the bubbles, if there is no carbonation you will likely see it. If there is plenty of visible carbonation and it tastes bad, take it back.

I poured a beer yesterday and it was fine...nice and fresh and crisp. How the hell can it go from tasting flat to delicious in a day? Didn't change the psi or temp.

Did you let the keg settle before drawing the glass you had the day before? The co2 may have came out of solution the first day and the beer reabsorbed it the second day.

That sounds like what might have happened. How long should you let it settle?

A couple of hours should be fine depending on how warm it got during transporting and how much it was handled.
