  • Perlick Ice Machine need advice to repair

Hi, I have a Perlick H50IMW that constantly runs and isnt making ice. The water is getting cold so the compressor is probably good but it seems like the water is not shutting off and is just overflowing out of the drain constantly. Any ideas? Its about 10 years old.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum...
The water overflowing & going down the drain is the source of your lack of ice. The incoming water is melting the ice as quick as it is formed. If you turn the unit off does the water keep flowing? If it doesn't stop then there is more than likely a worn water fill valve or something in the valve. If the water does stop then power is being supplied constantly to the water fill valve for some reason. There should be power to the valve only during the start of the ice making cycle & maybe once during the cycle to refill the unit - depends on unit design.
