I'm going to build a keezer because it's the most economical thing for me at the moment and I can use it in the future in home brewing. I have seen plenty of designs/photos but one thing keeps popping up: Collars.
Are collars necessary? I would prefer to have everything inside the keezer for the time being and use a tower (my kegerator is trash and I'd like to repurpose the tower I have) to serve instead of a shank through a collar. Is height that much of a problem? I have a low profile tap and regular taps so I could theoretecly just use low profiles. I assume that drilling through the lid for the tower wouldn't be an issue if sealed properly. Or is this just impossible altogether?
Thanks.
