I recently bought a 2004 Beverage Air BM23 from Craigslist. I am replacing the thermostat and I noticed that the capillary tube is exposed, just below the fan housing. On my old BM23 ( 1980s) the tube is inside of the fan housing, out of sight. What would be the better location? I assume the newer model has the "improved" location.

Some temp controls are designed to sense air temp while others are designed to sense the temp of the evaporator coil - they are not interchangeable.
