  • Kegged Wine - Bad Odor?

    Hello-

I have a customer that has 40 lines of which one is a white wine. It is a 10ft run and is pushed by 100%N. I have cleaned the system twice using beer line cleaner without an issue.

In the last couple of days the wine (first 10-12oz) has a really bad odor. Then it clears and it is fine for a time. I took of the faucet (stainless 304 polished) and there was some black sediment on the valve shaft. I cleaned it up and replaced it. All seemed well. Next day, same issue.

I'm not as clear with wine and would love some input on this one.

    Cheers!

Can you describe the odor? Age of keg? Type of line used? Is it wine quality?
