  • Nothing But Foam- Tried Everything

I got my kegerator up and going and have had nothing but foam coming out of the faucet. My beer is pouring at 40 degrees, i know a little high but don't know if this is the issue. I have tried pressures ranging from 5 psi to 18 psi with no luck. The only thing that I have noticed is that there is a very small amount of beer leaking from the shank/faucet meaning that it is not a 100 percent connection but would a small leak in the shank/faucet area cause my beer to come out nothing but foam? thanks for the help

And also my beer line is about 5 foot 8 inches and a pocket of air always forms in my beer line. Is this a result from low pressure or too long of a beer line?

That isn't a pocket of air, it is co2 that is coming out of solution and likely the main source of your foam.

Is the 40 degrees the temperature you get with a calibrated thermometer on your second pour into the same glass? Knowing your beer temperature you can set your co2 pressure according to either this online calculator: TastyBrew.com | Homebrewing Calculators | Kegging Carbonation Calculator or this chart: http://www.zahmnagel.com/LinkClick.a...ow%3D&tabid=77
Malt is the soul of beer... and yeast gives it life..
but the kiss of the hop is the vitality of that life!

My three favorite beers: The one I just had, the one I'm drinking now and the next one I'll have.
