Hi guys,
I just put in a 1/4 barrel of Bell's Christmas Ale and am getting some foam issues that I haven't encountered yet (I'm still pretty new to this). I just switched from a 1/2 barrel of Hoegaarden and cleaned the lines, tap, and everything right before installing the new keg.
Basically each time I try to dispense, the beer starts out as foam for a few seconds, then kind of spits out a puff of foam and turns to beer immediately after. It does this every time I pull the handle.. A little foam, then a thrust of foam, then beer... It leaves me with a tall pilsner glass w/ about 30% beer and 70% foam.
I am currently running a fairly long line (11 to 12 foot), 36 degrees temp and dropped the psi down to about 10 from 14 trying to get a better pour.. Also, I untapped, took the coupler off and re-tapped which helped a little but still am getting way too much foam..
Any help you guys can give would certainly be greatly appreciated!
