  • Need help with co2

I have had my kegerator about 6mos, no problem untill I cleaned the lines.I hooked up a new keg and a fresh bottle of co2. I got one beer and that was it.
My co2 tank is empty. What did I do wrong? Is my new keg now bad because of no co2. I have got to figure this out before I put on another tank of co2. At $8. this could get awful $$$$

Are you sure the co2 is empty? If it really emptied that fast, you definitely would have heard the gas leaking from somewhere, and your tank would have probably iced over from decompression. Is it possible you didn't turn on the co2 correctly? There is the nozzle on the tank itself, and there is also a gas on/off switch on the gas-out port of the regulator.

If the co2 is in fact empty. Next co2 tank, hook the tank up with everything switched off. Then open everything up and check for leaks right away. Pour a soapy water solution over all the connections and look for bubbles.
