Primary regulator to secondary regulator

Hi, I have two new Micro Matic economy regulators. One a double gauge primary, and the other a secondary. What do I need to get to connect them, and what are the safe steps to preform this job. Please give me all options. Thank you for any help.

Use 5/16 braided vinyl to connect the two, and then 5/16 red vinyl line from the sec reg to the coupler.
Set your prim reg (2 gauges) at 50% more pressure than your sec reg needs. Eg your sec reg is 22 psi, set your prim reg to 45.

Clamp all connections with Stepless clamps. Never, I repeat NEVER, use worm clamps as they usually leak after a year or so.
