  • Condensation on Trunk Line

Need help with stopping condensation on the outside of trunk line. Not our install and is certainly old but recently re-wrapped with moisture strapping tape, aluminum tape, insulation and barrier tape. Still having issues under the tower, but also in the basement from the outside of the cooler to the ceiling. Inside the cooler, the glycol sweats even though it has moisture strapping tape and aluminum tape. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Couple of things: Did you reuse existing insulation? If so, replace the insulation with new then gently retape the outside of the insulation. If you used new insulation tube, did you spray glue the the seam? If not, that is where the condensation is coming from.
