Beer manifold vs. (Y) fitting

What's the advantage of a manifold vs just splitting with a y fitting for dispensing at two stations with same beer?

As a fellow installer, I would only use the manifold if there are more then 2 towers and if the towers were located at different bars. Not sure what your setup would have been but I am interested to find out what you used...

Thanks for the input I think I will be using the (y) instead of the manifold. towers are only about 20ft apart in same bar area. It's about a 50ft draw to furthest tower. I have used manifolds in the past though but on longer runs and split levels of buildings never had any problems just looking for a cheaper solution that works the same.
