Coil vs Cold plate

I'm trying to build a jockey box to be used for our tailgating and other events. in my research i see that there are two basic methods of cooling the beer. Which is better 50' (or better) steel coil or cold plate?

If you are using it only for tailgating and probably for one keg, a cold plate should suffice. Use a coil system for high volume situations.
