Hi Everyone,

Just installed a kegerator in my basement for the first time. Built a keezer in my laundry room and ran it to the adjacent wall to taps in my bar using hvac equipment(see pics). I realized later that my lines are way too short(5ft) just barely making the length of the run. I noticed air bubbles in the line and some initial foam(but not too bad). I was wondering what people would suggest for the length of the beer line and whether to use 3/16 or 1/4 inch line. Sorry for the slanted photos. Can't figure out how to rotate.

The pictures look small to me. But I'd say if it were me and I felt the lines were on the short side, I would stick with 3/16 and lengthen them to around 7 feet. Your minimal initial foam may be easily solved by forced air cooling of your ducts.

As usual, balance your system based on the desired carbonation and temperature and you should be good.
Malt is the soul of beer... and yeast gives it life..
but the kiss of the hop is the vitality of that life!

My three favorite beers: The one I just had, the one I'm drinking now and the next one I'll have.
