Question Electric Beer Line Cleaning Pump Assemblies

Hello,

This is my first post in this forum although I've read many of the threads.

I'm currently in training with someone who cleans beer lines and will begin cleaning them myself within a few weeks. I need to purchase all of the equipment I will need including a good pump assembly and all needed accessories.

The only pump assembly I've located so far (I've just started) is the EBC104 from MicroMatic http://www.micromatic.com/draft-keg-...id-EBC104.html

The list price for this is $1155 which seems too high. My guess is that there is a LOT of profit built into this price.

Please let me know where I can find other pump assemblies and equipment for starting a line cleaning business. I want to do a good bit of research before making a buying decision.

Is the EBC104 the best deal I can find or are there better/less expensive options? I realize a lot of MicroMatic employees participate in this Forum and would like input from you as well.

Since I can buy a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer for the price of the EBC104, it definitely seems over-priced ..... note that I said seems :-). Maybe the components are super high quality or something and the price is justified.

Please let me know your thoughts/opinions via either this Forum or e-mail.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Doug

Hello,

This is me replying to my own thread. I realize I probably shouldn't have mentioned any specific product. I only list the MicroMatic model because it's the first one I saw.

I'm interested in learning about any equipment companies who sell beer line cleaning equipment.

Thanks,

Doug

Doug,

If you intend to conduct line cleaning services commercially, it would be beneficial for you to apply for an account with Micro Matic to acquire wholesale pricing. Also, we will be providing a less expensive circulating pump shortly. Although it will not have the ability to clean as many lines as the larger pump, it should be quite effective possibly up to four.

Default Electric Beer Line Cleaning System

Who says you cant build your own pump?
It cost about half the price once you get your parts all together.
I build the cleaning pumps for our company , which are electric, re-circulating
pumps.

Any tips? I was thinking about building some myself.
