Default FOBS and the quest for no foam

We are looking to add a new bar and split our existing 16 kegs to the new 16 taps. We're upping our cold deck to a 3/4 w/ 2 pumps and
running all new trunk lines. The question is which FOB unit to go with? The tecflo 100 or the perlick smart foam detector?
We need a blend of foam control and consistent operation from a fob without the need for constant maintenenance. Our lines are currently being cleaning monthly. We already have the perlick sankeys and wonder if we should add the smart detector to them.

Ahh yes beer...

I am not a fan of the smart coupler. They cause a lot of service calls, can be tricky to reset sometimes. They have a high failure rate because bartenders will drop them and bang them around. Also they must be kept super clean and if you only clean your lines monthly it could be a problem.

Not a big fan of perlick in line fobs they are finicky at best and not user friendly.Go to the M.M. catalog they have 2 styles of fob wich are reliable and user friendly, one plastic and one stainless.good luck

yea, I've had run ins with the so called "smart taps". found them to be somewhere between inefficient and useless. [:0] pain in the @!#. get a fob that you mount on the wall in the cooler.

Thanks Gang I guess we'll stick with the tecflo 100s then.
