Default Danby Temp Control

I followed the advice listed on this website and installed a resistor and fans in my danby. Everything has been working great. I changed the keg and defrosted the danby and now I cannot adjust the temperature. The display on the front shows a temperature, but I cannot adjust it with the up/down buttons on the front. Any ideas. I removed the resistor and it still has the same problem.

Thanks

Sounds like the Danby control panel probably is fubar.

Your options are to call Danby and get a new controller, or get an external temperature controller, and rewire the Danby to bypass it's temperature controller.

There's a few posts on how to do the latter, in the forums here. It's not difficult. That's probably the route I would go, instead of replacing junk parts with more junk parts.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed.
Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery
and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might
be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself,
"It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than
be selfish and worry about my liver."

If it is under warranty, make them replace the stuff to hold their feet to the fire but plan on an external temperature control upgrade soon.
