Default Smartstrip
Anyone using the smartstrip? I have installed mine it does not seem to work, the color is pink and there is no indication how much is in the keg. Them temp is stuck on 40. I measure the beer temp once in glass and it is 36. The strip just does not seem to do much.

did u follow the directions on the back of the strip? spray it with 100f water, wipe it down and it resets to white for your reading

Have you calibrated your thermometer lately? What type of system do you have? Spray hot water on the strip or wipe down with a very hot drenched cloth and it will show the fill mark. As to the liquid crystal temperature sensing technology, this is used in the fish and amphibian pet industry. It has to be accurate or there would be some very upset pet owners.
