Default Converting a Marguerita line to a beer line

I think I already know the answer, butI have an account that wants to change a marguerita line to a beer line. The trunk line is made of Bevflex 224. I am not sure if it is barrier tubing or not, and I'm not sure if that would even matter. It has been used as a marg. line for about a year. I tend to think that the marg. has probably permeated the line, but I thought I would see if anyone has any insight on this.It is a 12 product 70' trunk, so replacing it is not an option. Thanx

Sounds like a viable solution, but they want (what I think is the least beer tasting beer), Bud Light.

Bevflex 224 is not a Barrier tubing. Highly likely that the tubing has picked up the flavor from the margarita permanently. Unfortunately whoever encouraged the retailer to put the margarita on the beer system did not warn them on this issue.

It is always worth a try though to clean the line with a 3% caustic (circulate) and cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Barrier tubing is designed to resist flavor transfer. Soda industry mandated that extruders come up with this type of tubing so that they could change flavors with out changing the entire bundle.

Did not take long back in the early 90's for this tubing to cross over into the beer industry.
