Ionizing Line Cleaning
I was visiting a few bars in the York County area of PA.,and many have switched to an "Ionizing Line Cleaning" system. I have never heard of such a thing and I have been servicing draft systems in Baltimore for good while. I tried Googling it and came up empty. Anyone know anything about this?

Are you talking about the BLM2000 that uses sound waves? If you are there are some that say they work and others that have horor stories.

I service tap systems in the York County area, there are a few of those BLM systems out there. Fortunately not everyone is going along with the hype. Currently, they are not quite legal in PA., the PLCE is allowing them, but they are supposedly wathing them very closely. Tap systems that use them are only required to flush the system every 8 weeks instead of every 7 days as the law states. My personal opinion....... BULLPOOPY

I have just one of these in my accounts, they do not get my approval. A-B and Miller do not approve of them.

If you think flashing green lights and radio waves will keep your beer lines clean, think again! They are supposed to stop bacteria growth but when the radio wave hits metal (like a splicer or keg coupler) the signal stops. We have tested them with an independant lab and the bacteria count is just as high with or without it.

I just joined this site. I am a line cleaner in pa. There is a company that is very aggressivly pushing the blm2000 in the pittsburgh market.they say how much beer you save by not flushing out the lines,stick a brush up the faucet once a week will satisfy l.c.b. laws & keep faucets clean.then come in every 8 to 12 weeks to clean.systems that i have picked up from them were filthy.bar owners say they would never use them again.I would really like to have any facts or articles about the studies you have done to help educate owners a little more before they put these things on.thanks so much
