Default FOB's don't work

New restaurant - National Chain 10 lines, 30 faucets, kegs in series about 120 ft draw. The 10 lines go to the service end of the bar and then another 20 feet to center island and a two sided tower with 10 faucets on each side. I didn't install it I just clean the lines. The system pours good but the FOB's don't work. I was always told series kegs are not a good idea and tees in lines on the bar side is not advisable. Just curious why fob's don't work because of series kegs or tees and drawing same line from 3 locations.

What type of FOB's are they? The DFC45WM needs to have the black knob on the top turned back down after cleaning to engage it. They DFC100 needs to have the black knob on the bottom pulled back down to engage it.

It is never a good idea to tee downstream from the walk in cooler. This set up is difficult to clean and may result in flow issues. However, this should not have anything to do with the FOBs malfunctioning.

Series should not be an issue either unless the are set up incorrectly. Big problem with series is if the are not emptied on a weekly basis. What will cause issues is if the bartenders are leaving the faucets open after the FOB has activated. Also, if 100% CO2 at the incorrect pressure is used, gas breakout can collect at the FOB allowing float to drop.

May sound silly, but are the FOB's installed correctly? I was called into a new installation, done by someone else, to troubleshoot the system. The system worked but the FOB's didn't work, lines did not shut down when kegs blew empty. FOB's were installed with the lines switched. We switched the lines and they worked perfectly. If the line from the keg is connected to the "out" nipple, the beer flow is running backwards through the FOB. Good luck.
