how much foam is bad
just recently got a kegerator and i enjoy it alot. i am getting foam on my pours. in a 22 ounce glass it will fill up half with foam on first glass but if ilet the glass sit the beer level will rise up to 3/4 of glass. Is this a big deal ? should i work on getting less foam or just be happy with a fairly decent pour? like i said not a huge problem but i kind of would like to get it to pour perfect. maybe just a good cleaning of the equipment is all i need

Unless you end up with a nickel or quarter head of foam after dispensing, any other foam is bad!
What brand of beer do you have, temp. of the beer and your pressure? Is your tower cooled?

Beer has gas. When heated it will expand. If your pressure is set for 38F beer at the keg but the temperature in the tower is 44 F, the gas in the beer expands and you have foam. Therefore, cool the tower to acquire constant temperature from the keg to the faucet - no foam.

Scott, you should just make that question your signature on your profile.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed.
Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery
and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might
be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself,
"It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than
be selfish and worry about my liver."
