Default I Need Help Before I Go Broke!

OKay, so we finally gave in and bought a new kegerator. Set it up with all of the original parts and it worked okay at best. We kept having to play with the pressure in the keg and pulling the plug in order for the keg to dispense correctly. By the end of the keg, it was horrible. Then we read FAQ's and realized that we needed a new regulator and we bought new line. Now we have a duel gauge regulator and 12 ft of 1/4in line. We have tried the psi anywhere between 8 and 14 but we still keep coming out with nothing but flat, extra foamy beer. This is now our third keg and the only one that worked half way descent was the first and that was NOT what we were expecting either. PLEASE HELP! Is our line too long now? No one that we talk to seems to be able to give us answers.

greetings to all..............why 1/4 line? You would get better results(control wise) with 3/16 line. cya ...................brianatkcdraft. Beer is the reason we get up every afternoon R McNeill

Default The Right Stuff

In order for a short draw system to work properly you will need the following.
1. Temperature of cooler around 36 to 38 degrees( a little colder o.k.)
2. Pressure of CO2 being applied 12 to 15 lbs.(start at 12 and up)
3. Length of beer line is 6 feet
4. I.D. of beer line needs to be 3/16"
5. Correct coupler on keg?

I have been installing and repairing beer systems for 25 years and always check out the above items first. If after following these suggestions you are still having a problem it could be either the keg is bad(bad valves do happen) or check the faucet and beer line connection to shank.......
