Default Guinness Question

Recently my loving wife got me a kegarator for Guinness. After finally getting the keg, and hearing that the gas company blew up my tank (they gave me a 20# tank free), I poured my first glasses of Guinness. The first glasses were great, but I have noticed that over the last week the taste is different. The keg is about 3 weeks old now I think. Could this be a keg/gas/line problem or are my taste buds adjusting to real fresh Guinness?

Are you using co2 or a Guinness gas blend 75/25? I assume you are using a stout faucet and have checked for the cascading effect. Pressure should be around 30-32 psi. You can get a lot of information by using the search option in this forum - just type in Guinness If that does not help post as much information about your setup so we can better help.

Try taking the regulator off of the cylinder and then open the valve on the tank slightly. Determine if there is any off odor from the gas. If so, find a different gas company.

How in the world did they blow up your tank?

after awhile I think its just me thinking it tastes different.

Anyway, I gave them a new alumanum (sp) co2 tank. They had to change out the valve on it and advised that then they filled it the neck split. Either way I got a larger tank out of the deal for free.
