New install help please.

Hey guys,

I finished my install on Thursday night and still haven't figured everything out yet. I have a few questions if anyone can help me please!

1. When running blended glass(60/40) do you still use the same PSI at the secondary regulators. For example if it is supposed to be 14 psi with 100%Co2, what is it with blended? According to the kegman website using the formula for an IPA at 2.2 vol I would have to push at 42 psi???? I hooked up a keg of Newcastle at 14 psi and everything is great, no foam. I tried to hook up a 5 gal of Green Flash Ipa and wasted half of it. There are all kinds of bubbles shooting up from the coupler through the line. Obviously overcarbonated.

I tried to balance the system to 22 psi using 2 feet of choker line on a 41 foot run with a koolrite tower. I've got fobs hooked up at each line and the one with the green flash keeps tripping due to foam shooting out of the keg. I am having major foam issues.

I really want to know what settings to use for blended gas. Is it higher psi because of less Co2 in the blend? Please help!

22 PSIG is the target pressure with that blend ratio. What size trunk line did you use (5/16" or 3/8" ID) and is the bar on the same level as the keg cooler?

Have you checked your keg coupler for gas leaking from the gas port directly into the beer line? This would allow gas bubbles to form very quickly in the beer line.

How are the other lines pouring? It may be worth the time and effort to tap this keg on another line that is pouring correctly. this would tell you if it is the keg or coupler.

Don't go for the 41 psig, work with 22 - 24 as your goal with 60/40 blend.
