Default flavor of first pour...

i have a true tdd-1 (fairly old)and replaced the lines, coupler, faucet, shank, and dual gauge regulator from micromatic. the old stuff had bras$ showing and the lines were orange and hard. i went with all stainless steel parts and am very happy with the setup. i am also using micromatic's BLC. when i pour the first beer of the day, or even after a few hours it has a stale taste and is usually foamy. the excess foam happens on occasion when i can see it rocketing out of the faucet. but if i close it and open it again quickly it pours fine and the "rapid pour" stops. if i have a couple beers it will not pour like a jet stream anymore. only after leaving it alone for some time. but again, its controllable by closing it and opening it imediately and finishing with a slow pour. my main concern is just the off flavor. it almost loses its freshness and has an increased bitterness (not hop bitterness). the style of beer i drink is almost always an ipa. the only keg i remember not having this problem with was dogfish head 60 min. but i went through it fairly quick, and i think the flavor is stronger than the others. the tower is cooled by a tube ran from the blower as$embly and often sweats on the outside. if i put a floating thermometer in the freshly poured beer it will only be a few degrees higher than the inside temp of the kegerator, (if 38* inside, then 40* outside, maybe 41-42*) it seems like its only the beer in the line that gets the stale flavor, and once i pour 1-2 and start drawing from the keg it tastes much more fresh and way smoother. i clean the lines after every keg and use it often. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.
chris
