Default Ice question

Okay, one more question. I'm having a party on New Years. I think my Guinnes keg will run out during, so I'd like a second on hand. I have a broken freezer in my garage. If I bought a second keg on the the 31st and put it in the freezer with some ice bags, would it keep alright for a few hours or would my inability to control the temperature lead to a problem?

You guys have been a great help so far and I appreciate it.
Thabks and happy holidays.
Pete

If it is just a few hours you could probabally just turn the freezer all the way up and keep it in there. If it really seems to be getting too cold you could turn it off to let it warm slightly. It takes quite a bit of time to bring 15 gallons of beer down to freezing.

Thanks Ed. The only problem is the freezer is broken. What I'll have to do is put a bunch of ice bags in there with the keg. Will this keep it sufficiently cold?

Thanks,

Pete

Pete,

You should be fine. A trash can with ice work pretty well too, like ernestbud says. don't let it get too warm and you will be fine.
