Default Repairing leak in regulator stem

I have a regulator with a built in washer on the stem. But when I recently had my CO2 tank refilled, I used a nylon washer between the regulator and tank. Why? I have no idea. I didn't check for leaks at the time, but sure enough my tank was empty the next morning. Refilled the tank, removed the nylon washer and with soapy water discovered I still have a leak. Looking at the built in washer on the stem of the regulator, I think did some permanent damage to it with the nylon washer.

What's the easiest/best fix? Is it possible to pry out the built in washer and replace it, or replace the whole stem as-sembly? Anyone have any experience here?

Thanks,
Jason

I was able to pry out the rubber washer rather easily. Hopefully a replacement washer will take care of the problem.

you can buy the washer that goes in there but it is hard to get it in it is just as effective to use a rubber beer line washer in its place BUT do check for leaks each time
