Question Does out-of-code beer cause foam??

In one of my taps I've been serving Deshutes Black Butte Porter. I just got a new keg (probably the 4th since I got my kegerator), and this is the first keg that actually had a code date (expiration) in the future. Our local distributor basically told us, in the past, it was expired product or none at all.

I have the usual problems with the first pour of the day, but in the past this beer seems to foam more than others. The new keg seems to pour perfect every time, and I haven't adjusted the regulator. Could there be a connection to the quality of the product??

Just a hypothesis...
