    Default How do I get this thing off? Hose to Elbow shank

    I had to replace my Elbow shank. How do I get the line off of the old one?

    Cut it. But if you are using that ell about the only way to get that crimp collar off is to cut it away using a small pair of wire snips. Once off, you could use a small hose clamp to fasten the line back on.

    Think THE ICEMAN meant elbow, he's right it's a one time use crimp, you can cut the metal collar off, slice old hose off with knife, slide new hose on, use new hose clamp and your good.
