Default Disconnecting a keg for an extended period...

I HAVING A PARTY!!!
Sorry, I can't invite everyone!

My Question:
I currently have 4 kegs on tap, but I want to save one for myself, and not let it get emptied during the get-together. I normally disconnect the kegs (at the keg coupler) for a cleaning every two weeks, but it is only for a couple minutes. Is there any reason I should be concerned about disconnecting a keg for two days or more? The keg is still going to be in the kegerator, and kept at the proper temperature. It just won't have any pressure applied. I just don't want to ruin my beer!!!

If it's properly pressurized before you untap it, you'll be fine. This pressure will stay in the barrel.

That's what I thought. Like Beer Dr. said, as long as it is properly pressurized when you disconnect it , it will be fine. It is my opinion that beers such as the Cinq Cents actually benefits from aging. If you can sit on the deposit it would be fun to try it as it ages. I have a Belgian Double that I made 2 1/2 years ago and it is tasting great right about now.

I'll probably stick to the bottles for aging. While my new keg retailer is not charging me deposits, I need to empty these kegs out at some point. One of these days I'm going to get back into brewing my own. I've been talking about it for months! Now that I have a kegerator, and several Corny Kegs, I can keg my own beer.

For now..., I'm just happy to have good beer, on tap, at home!!
