There is a gasket on the keg coupler that may be missing. It happened to me once. When I untapped a keg to turn it in, the gasket on the coupler that mates to the built in keg gasket, stuck and I did not notice. When I tapped the new keg I did not notice it missing. All I got was foam. When I ordered a new one and replaced it, no problem. Try calling micromatic. The guy I talked to spit out the answer immediately after my de****ion of the problem.
Your post below does not indicate if the hand pump worked. If it did, the problem could be in the keg. However I doubt it because I have never had a problem with a major distributors keg. I did have a problem with a local microbrews keg.
Another issue could be with a hot spot in the line. The cold beer hits the hot spot and expands - foam. This is why a beer will foam with the first poured beer, until the spout cools due to the cold beer running through it. You will notice the condensation on the spout when it cools.
Good luck and I hope you work it out and don't have to put it on the curb. That would be a shame.

i have now replaced everything.... increased and decreased pressure... the only thing left is the actual spout itself. i have complete beer in my line from the tap to the spout. i have even replaced the kegerator with a hand pump ($75 deposit.... sick!!!). the only thing left to try is replacing the spout?! could this be the problem. $25 on ebay looks like a good deal, and it better work or i am throwing this thing to the curb.
