Default Cardboard in my System??

Well thanks to all you guys I now can pour a perfect beer!! But it was not as easy as I thought.

I was instructed to change my beer line size to 3/16"x5' and raise pressure to ~12-14psig. After I did this and let the keg settle/stabalize for a day, I still could not get a good beer. The flow was not smooth out of the faucet. So in a desperate attempt, we took apart the faucet, hose, and coupler. Well low and behold, some how there was cardboard in the shank, faucet, and coupler?!?!?! I have no idea where it came from. Is it possible it was in the keg (Yuengling)?? Never had that problem before.

Either way, once I removed all the cardboard and cleaned all the parts the keg poured perfectly, and I mean perfect!!! Just wanted to share my experience and yap about the cardboard!!

Thanks again guys. I'll never again run low pressure to control the foam. Oh, BTW, what is the suggested pressure for Yuengling?? I am running 12 psig now.

If you are at sea level and your temperature is 38 F, 14 PSIG should do the job. For every two degrees warmer, increase pressure one pound and decrease one for every two colder.
